Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.
Placeholder copy for structure only. These rules must be reviewed and finalised by a licensed attorney before the first draw.
1. Sponsor
[SPONSOR LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS] (the "Sponsor"). Tgiving is an independent community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. government, the IRS, any savings-account program operator, or any political candidate, party, or office holder.
2. Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry and who are the parent or legal guardian of the minor beneficiary named in the entry. Void where prohibited.
3. No purchase necessary
No purchase, payment, donation, or acquisition or holding of any digital asset or token is necessary to enter or win. A purchase or token holding will not improve your chance of winning. All eligible entries have an equal chance of being selected.
4. Entry period
Each draw has its own entry period ending at the published entry cutoff for that draw ("Entry Cutoff"). Entries received after the Entry Cutoff will be held for a subsequent draw or discarded at Sponsor's discretion.
5. How to enter
- Online entry: Complete the nomination form at [SITE URL]/nominate, providing a guardian email address, US state of residence, and a public savings-account gift link for the minor beneficiary, and affirm guardianship and age.
- Alternate method of entry (AMOE): To enter without using the online form, hand-print your full name, mailing address, email address, US state, daytime telephone number, and the words "Tgiving Free Entry" on a plain 3" x 5" card and mail it in a #10 envelope with sufficient postage to: [AMOE MAILING ADDRESS]. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by the Entry Cutoff and received within seven (7) days thereafter. Limit one entry per outer envelope. Mechanically reproduced entries are void. AMOE entries receive the same odds and are added to the same entry list as online entries.
6. Limit on entries
One (1) entry per minor beneficiary per draw, and no more than [N] beneficiaries per household per draw. Duplicate entries are removed before the entry list is frozen.
7. Winner selection and odds
At the Entry Cutoff the entry list is frozen and its cryptographic hash is published. Sponsor publishes a commitment to a secret value and a future Solana slot number. After that slot is finalised, the secret is revealed and combined with the entries hash and the slot's block hash to derive a seed, which determines the winning index in the frozen list. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for that draw. All eligible entries have equal odds.
8. Prize
One (1) contribution in the amount published for that draw (approximate retail value as stated on the draw page), paid directly into the minor beneficiary's savings or investment account via the submitted public gift link. No cash equivalent or substitution except by Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Prize is awarded to the account of the minor beneficiary, not to the entrant. All applicable taxes are the responsibility of the entrant and/or beneficiary's guardian.
9. Winner notification
The winning entry code is published on the Draws page. The guardian is contacted at the email address provided. Sponsor will never request payment, wallet access, private keys, passwords, or a Social Security number in order to release a prize. If a winner cannot be reached within [N] days, or the submitted gift link is invalid, Sponsor may select an alternate winner using the published method.
10. Disqualification
Employees, contractors, officers, directors, and immediate family members of, and persons living in the same household as, the Sponsor and its affiliates, agencies, and any party involved in the administration of the draw are not eligible. Sponsor may disqualify any entry that is fraudulent, duplicative, incomplete, submitted by a non-guardian, or that violates these rules.
11. Privacy
Publicly published information is limited to an entry code, a US state, an amount, a date, and a status. Guardian email addresses and account links are never published. See the Privacy page for details.
12. General conditions
By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by Sponsor's decisions, which are final and binding in all matters. Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify a draw if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor impairs its integrity. Governing law: [STATE].
13. Winners list
Published permanently on the Ledger and Draws pages at [SITE URL]. For a mailed winners list, write to [AMOE MAILING ADDRESS].
